Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Enterprise Data Management

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement enterprise data architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards.
  • Architect end-to-end data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and integration patterns.
  • Lead modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Define data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Design real-time and batch data processing architectures.
  • Provide architecture guidance to development teams
  • Establish enterprise standards for master data management (MDM), reference data, and analytics enablement.
  • Support AI/ML, reporting, BI, and advanced analytics initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Data Engineering.
  • Expertise in SQL and database technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms:

o Amazon Web Services (AWS)

o Microsoft Azure

o Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Experience with Big Data & Data Processing:

o Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Databricks

  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools:

o Ab Initio, Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Airflow

  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses:

o Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks

  • Expertise in data modeling techniques:

o Conceptual, Logical, Physical Data Models

o Dimensional Modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema)

o Data Vault Modeling

  • Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks.
  • Experience in API integrations, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI / AI-ready data architecture
  • Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, and modern data platforms

Architecture & Leadership

  • Domain expertise in Banking and Financial sector
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience defining data standards, reusable frameworks, and architecture governance.
  • Ability to lead architecture discussions with CXOs, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models.

Preferred Certifications

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics / Solutions Architect
  • Snowflake Certification
  • Databricks Certification
  • TOGAF (mandatory)
