Senior Database Administrator

About the Role
<\/h1>

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to take ownership of performance, reliability, and evolution of mission -critical healthcare data platforms.
<\/p>

This is not a traditional DBA role. You will operate at the intersection of customer environments and product engineering, spending approximately:
<\/p>

- 60% working directly with healthcare customers
<\/p>

- 40% partnering with R&D and engineering teams
<\/p>

You will work across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments deployed in hybrid architectures (on -prem + cloud), ensuring healthcare providers have fast, reliable, and secure access to critical patient data.
<\/p>

An AI -first mindset is required—you will be expected to leverage AI tools to automate operations, accelerate troubleshooting, and improve system intelligence.
<\/p>

What You’ll Do – Customer -Facing (≈60%)
<\/h1>

Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers on database performance, architecture, and reliability
<\/p>

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in high -pressure healthcare environments
<\/p>

Optimize systems supporting clinical imaging and patient data workflows
<\/p>

Guide customers through best practices for hybrid database deployments
<\/p>

Support upgrades, migrations, and environment stabilization efforts
<\/p>

What You’ll Do – Engineering & Platform (≈40%)
<\/h1>

Partner with R&D to improve database architecture, scalability, and observability
<\/p>

Contribute to modernization initiatives, including PostgreSQL adoption and cloud optimization
<\/p>

Build automation for monitoring, alerting, backup, and recovery workflows
<\/p>

Influence product design by bringing real -world customer challenges into engineering decisions
<\/p>

Required Qualifications
<\/h1>

5+ years of hands -on DBA experience in production environments
<\/p>

Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
<\/p>

Proven experience managing hybrid environments (on -prem + cloud)
<\/p>

Experience in customer -facing or production support roles
<\/p>

Deep knowledge of performance tuning, high availability/disaster recovery, and backup/recovery strategies
<\/p>

Ability to operate effectively in 24/7, mission -critical environments
<\/p>
