Senior Data Engineer IT Application Solutions Department Summary The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support the enterprise analytics and reporting platform. This role plays a critical part in transforming raw data into trusted high-quality datasets that power business intelligence data science and operational systems. The ideal candidate is a hands -on technologist with deep expertise in SQL data modeling and modern data platforms e.g. Microsoft Fabric. Apply Qualifications College degree is strongly preferred ideally in Computer Science Data Science Information Systems or a related technical discipline. Appropriate technical certifications are preferred. 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. Strong proficiency in SQL data warehousing and performance tuning. Experience with ETL tools and frameworks e.g. SSIS dbt Apache Spark Azure Data Factory. Familiarity with cloud data platforms e.g. Azure AWS GCP. Knowledge of data modeling starsnowflake schemas data lakes and data governance. Proficiency in Python Scala or similar languages for data processing. Experience with version control e.g. Git and CICD pipelines. Strong service orientation and an understanding of the importance of developing effective working relationships with users and organizational stakeholders of all levels. Duties and Responsibilities Design and implement robust scalable ETLELT pipelines across multiple SQL Server environments and cloud platforms. Collaborate with architects analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions . Optimize data workflows for performance reliability and cost-efficiency. Ensure data quality integrity and security through validation monitoring and governance practices . Maintain and evolve data models schemas and metadata for analytics and reporting . Automate data ingestion transformation and deployment using CICD and orchestration tools e.g. Airflow Azure Data Factory. Troubleshoot and resolve data issues ensuring high availability and performance of data systems . Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and standards. Perform other duties as assigned by Firm management. Uphold high standards of confidentiality discretion and integrity particularly with respect to all sensitive andor confidential firm and client information to which this position will have access.
