Role: Senior Data Protection Engineer

Overview: This role is responsible for leading efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to sensitive organizational data.
The individual will drive data protection initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and help establish strong security practices across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities Lead data risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies Develop and implement data protection programs, including access controls, encryption, and data lifecycle management Partner with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce data security policies and standards Support the design and implementation of secure data environments across enterprise systems Maintain data inventories and support governance around data usage and sharing Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and security standards Support incident response efforts related to data security events Qualifications 5 years of experience in data protection, information security, or risk management Experience with enterprise data security solutions and cloud environments Strong understanding of data protection principles, controls, and regulatory requirements Experience working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment Bachelors degree in Information Security, Risk Management, or related field.
