Job Summary:This contract role seeks a seasoned data scientist to independently manage and enhance financial forecasting models critical for treasury operations. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and explaining complex models that directly influence funding and planning decisions. The ideal candidate will partner closely with finance teams, ensuring forecast accuracy and delivering actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models for treasury funding.
- Enhance forecast accuracy for sensitive cash flow areas.
- Integrate financial planning signals and external factors into models.
- Perform post-production diagnostics to explain forecast deviations.
- Translate model insights for non-technical finance partners.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
- Experience building and maintaining production forecasting models.
- Ability to integrate external signals into forecasts.
Experience in finance, treasury, or marketplace data is strongly preferred.
