Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Senior Database Administrator with experience in Healthcare and EPIC system to partner with application, reporting, and analytics teams to support data integration and ETL processes, enforce database security and access controls, and maintain high availability and business continuity across enterprise database environments
Position Overview
The Senior Database Administrator - Epic Cogito is responsible for the configuration, monitoring, and support of Epic's enterprise reporting systems and data infrastructure. This role ensures optimal performance of reporting databases and analytics solutions, serving as a key technical resource for data availability, system reliability, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Core Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree. Equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as DBA required, preferable in a healthcare environment.
Epic Cogito Certification - Clarity and/or Caboodle (required)
3+ years of experience supporting Epic reporting environments
Strong proficiency in SQL Server and relational databases, including stored procedures, query optimization, and indexing
Hands-on experience with ETL tools, workflows, and data integration
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (EDW, star schema, dimensional modeling)
Working knowledge of Epic Cogito tools, including Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, and Radar
Experience with healthcare data models and familiarity with clinical and operational data structures
Understanding of healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements
Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, or similar enterprise analytics platforms
