Immediate need for a talented Senior Database Engineer – Enterprise Data Ingestion & SQL Optimization. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Dallas, TX (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $62 - $65/hour.  Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain an enterprise-scale database platform for cybersecurity account review and remediation workflow support
  • Build and support high-volume data ingestion pipelines from approximately 12 source systems
  • Normalize, transform, and centralize data into a secure and scalable database environment
  • Apply business rules and risk logic to determine account ownership and health
  • Generate ServiceNow tickets and operational reports for remediation teams
  • Develop automated recurring processing jobs for weekly account evaluation
  • Optimize database performance, SQL queries, indexing, and data processing logic
  • Support ETL/ELT processes and data transformation workflows
  • Write backend or scripting code in Python, Java, or similar languages to support automation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and maintainable data operations 
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • 8 –12+ years of experience as a Database Engineer, Data Engineer, or Senior Data Platform Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience with database architecture, design, and performance tuning
  • Proven success building large-scale data ingestion pipelines
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimization and troubleshooting
  • Deep experience with data modeling, schema design, and relational database structures
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and high-volume enterprise data processing
  • Ability to build automated, rule-driven data solutions
  • Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, or similar backend languages
  • Strong communication skills and a stable work history
