The Amazon Prime Video UX team is seeking a self-motivated, ownership-minded, and nimble Senior Design Program Manager to be a force-multiplier for our UX Design & Research team, amplifying our efforts and impact. We design innovative experiences allowing customers around the world to discover, purchase, and watch the latest digital video content live and on demand.

You will collaborate closely with designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, and other program managers leading projects throughout the planning, design, and development cycle. Your emphasis will be on planning and prioritization of design deliverables, resource management, schedule tracking, mitigating project risks, and collaborating with design leadership to deliver innovative solutions across workstreams. You will be a key part of a UX Design and Research team collaborating across all aspects of the Prime Video service. Come build the future of entertainment with us!

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with UX leadership in key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, design roadmap management, resource allocation, and coordination of teams and reviews
  • Program manage key Design projects
  • Lead design delivery by managing team backlogs and removing obstacles, coordinating reviews with stakeholders and leadership, communicating team status, and empowering designers to own their timelines
  • Act as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management (PM) teams and other cross functional team members, connecting various groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance the customer needs versus business goals and technical constraints
  • Implement durable and repeatable processes and tools to help us prioritize, plan and manage multiple parallel projects across the team and our stakeholders
  • Standardize, socialize, and continuously improve our user-centered design process
  • Enable creative solutions by leveraging design acumen, high judgement, and knowledge of business and customer experience best practices
  • Define success metrics and be responsible for ensuring their implementation for all our work
  • Promote a sense of transparency, visibility, and community among our team
  • Navigate and prioritize evolving initiatives in a fast-paced environment
