It ensures that contract plans and special provisions for highway improvements are prepared and designed in accordance with the department's policies, standards, procedures, and accepted engineering practices.Essential FunctionsPlans, organizes, and directs plan preparation to ensure projects are completed in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.Ensures that all plans and specifications are in accordance with design policies and procedures.Ensures that other district bureaus complete plan preparation responsibilities to meet established letting dates.Motivates, evaluates, organizes, and assigns subordinates to properly perform their duties.Provides subordinates with direction and training necessary for the performance of their duties.Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules.
