As a Senior Designer, you'll partner with design and technical leaders to advance CJ+Cs diverse portfolio, encompassing high-rise mixed-use residential, hospitality, civic, and public projects.     Your Role

    As a Senior Designer at CJ+C, you'll lead teams to deliver exceptional design projects, leveraging your creative vision and technical expertise to guide projects from concept through completion. With over 10 years of experience, you're a recognized leader in design-driven projects, excelling in user-focused experiences and empowering clients to bring their visions to life.     What You Will Do

    • Lead assignments spanning conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
    • Provide strategic design leadership, focusing on project organization, production, and execution.
    • Foster seamless collaboration with internal and external teams, professional consultants, and strategic partners.
    • Embrace an inside-out and outside-in design philosophy, contributing to iterative design processes with team members, using a wide variety of tools to communicate to the team and client, including hand sketching and 3d tools.
    • Craft compelling visions for proposals and strategies for interviews to secure project opportunities.
    • Mentor junior designers, leading multiple projects with excellence while collaborating with design and technical staff.
    • Build and sustain strong client relationships.
    • Work closely with your team and across the firm to promote an interdisciplinary design approach, upholding CJ+Cs commitment to design excellence and technical innovation.

    Your Qualifications

    • Registered Architect required.
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited university required.
    • 10+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background in diverse project typologies and scales.
    • Strong ability to communicate and present design concepts and their rationales.
    • Skilled in addressing client needs, budget constraints, architectural opportunities, or challenges impacting design concepts.
    • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and certifications.
    • Skilled in Revit, + SketchUp, Enscape, and/or other modeling software and Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Exceptional graphics and visualization skills to effectively convey design ideas.
    • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with key stakeholders.
