This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Boston HQ (Monday-Thursday will be working in office and Friday is work from home). This is not a virtual / remote position.

Who We Are

The Wayfair Experiential Retail team creates the signage and in-store experiences that bring all of Wayfair’s home brands to life, including Wayfair, AllModern, Joss & Main, Birch Lane, and Perigold. We work closely with retail, brand, copy, visual communications, and customer experience teams to create clear, engaging, and on-brand environments for customers.

The Role

As a Senior Designer on the Experiential Retail team, you will focus primarily on bringing Perigold’s elevated brand identity into physical retail spaces. You will create signage, wayfinding, environmental graphics, and other in-store applications that help define the Perigold customer experience.

Perigold is seeking a self-starting, detail-oriented Designer with strong design judgment, a high level of craftsmanship, and the ability to produce a large volume of polished work efficiently. The ideal candidate will have an online portfolio demonstrating strong typography, layout, visual design, and production skills.

What You’ll Do

• Create compelling signage and environmental graphics that reflect Perigold’s elevated brand identity.

• Develop design concepts and carry approved work through final artwork, proofing, production, and approval.

• Adapt design systems and visual assets into a range of retail signage formats and specifications.

• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

• Partner closely with Copywriters, Visual Communications partners, Customer Experience leaders, retail teams, and other designers.

• Present and articulate design ideas, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and pivot quickly when project needs change.

• Uphold Perigold brand guidelines and ensure consistency across retail environments.

• Use past learnings and customer insights to improve signage and in-store experiences.

• Stay organized and contribute to an efficient, collaborative team workflow.

• Communicate clearly and deliver high-quality work on time and on brief.

• Share knowledge and support other designers and creative partners as needed.

What You’ll Need

• An online portfolio of design work. Portfolio links may be included on your resume or pasted into the cover letter section of the Wayfair careers application. Only candidates who submit a portfolio will be considered.

• 3+ years of experience in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline.

• Experience designing for retail, interior design, home, lifestyle, luxury, or other consumer-focused environments.

• Experience creating high volumes of polished design assets in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, color, aesthetics, and visual hierarchy.

• Experience with retail signage, environmental graphics, wayfinding, information graphics, and production artwork.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

• Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and creative problem-solving skills.

• Confidence presenting ideas and articulating design decisions.

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

• Continued interest in design, art, technology, and current creative trends.

• Motion design or animation experience is a plus.

• An enthusiastic, flexible work ethic and a sense of humor.
