Senior Designer

Title: Senior Designer
Location: Hammond, IN
Hire Type: Direct OR Contract
Compensation: $80K-$90K

Must have Skill Set: P&ID's 

Overview:

• Completes layouts from simple to complex projects independently.
• Detail non-standard conditions perform simple calculations and measurements and prepares material and documents as required.
• Responsible for design criteria and order of work.
• Corrects any errors or inconsistencies or design flaws that may be found during the checking process and immediately advises the Lead Engineer.
• Produces 3D models and complete drawings from moderate to complex work.
• Address and resolve any design issues or concerns that arise beginning with the planning and through the construction phases.

Qualifications: 

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related experience

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis tools. AutoDesk Products such as AEC, Revit, and Advance Steel.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and design the skeletal framework of various structures.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in designs and plans.
• Industry Codes: Demonstrates aptitude to learn and understand applicable codes required within discipline.
