Senior Developer-Full Stack

Our client, a Real Estate and Financial Services company, is looking for a Senior Developer-Full Stack for their McLean, VA location.

Responsibilities:

• Client Investments & Capital Markets division is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to contribute to the firm's enterprise forecasting platform, which supports financial and risk projections for analytics and planning. The developer will enhance access control, job queuing management and UI modernization while driving workflow and run efficiency improvements.
• Enhance existing access control and authorization mechanisms and extend job queuing and scheduling capabilities to support concurrent execution, prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Streamline end-to-end workflows by identifying bottlenecks, refactoring orchestration logic, and improving inter-component coordination.
• Analyze current run processing pipelines, generate performance statistics, and develop optimization plans to improve run efficiency.
• Modernize the platform UI architecture through thoughtful redesign and implementation improve overall structure, information hierarchy, usability, and layout organization across functional modules.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Ideal candidates must have 3-4+ years of hands-on software development experience. Front end focused and strong back-end skills. Java, JavaScript Frameworks (such as React.js) and programing skills are required, along with experience in Java Spring, Git, Unix, and Jenkins. Python is a plus. Candidates should have experience enhancing and optimizing workflows, including understanding run type execution and orchestration.
• At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience with a modern language (e.g., Python, Java).
• Demonstrated experience designing and building modern web UIs.
• Experience implementing access control / authorization and job scheduling or queuing systems.
• 1-2 years of experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
• Experience optimizing performance of long-running compute workloads or distributed processing pipelines
