    Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

    Location: Cincinnati, Ohio – Hybrid. After onboarding and training, enjoy a flexible schedule with approximately four days per week in the office and one day remote.

    Note: Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 3+ years of direct real estate development accounting experience.

    Job Description

    • Manage the complete accounting lifecycle for multiple real estate development projects from pre-development through transition to operations.
    • Lead monthly construction loan and equity draw processes while ensuring timely funding and payment of project costs.
    • Prepare and analyze project cash flow forecasts, financial projections, budgets, and pro formas.
    • Coordinate project closings, financing activities, and accounting entries with lenders, investors, title companies, and internal teams.
    • Prepare and review sources and uses schedules, developer fee schedules, and equity installment schedules.
    • Oversee construction costs, job costing, project funding, and financial reporting.
    • Manage tax credit compliance and cost certification activities for LIHTC, Historic Tax Credits, and New Markets Tax Credit projects.
    • Partner with auditors, investors, and leadership during audits and financial reviews.
    • Prepare year-end accruals, development workpapers, and financial analyses for executive leadership.
    • Mentor and collaborate with accounting and project teams while driving process improvements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 3+ years of direct real estate development accounting experience.
    • Strong knowledge of construction accounting, project accounting, and development finance.
    • Experience managing construction draws, loan funding, and project cash flow.
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
    • Experience working with lenders, investors, auditors, and development teams.
    • Experience with Yardi or similar real estate ERP preferred.
    • Knowledge of LIHTC, Historic Tax Credits, or New Markets Tax Credits preferred.
    • CPA or MBA preferred.
