Akkodis is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized application deployments on Microsoft Azure.
Rate Range: $45/Hour to $50/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior DevOps Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to streamline software delivery.
Provision, manage, and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to ensure scalability and reliability.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to improve system visibility and performance.
Manage cloud security, identity, and access controls using Azure Entra ID, RBAC, and integrated security tools such as SonarQube.
Collaborate with development, QA, and architecture teams to resolve production issues, support cloud transformation initiatives, and optimize infrastructure costs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
6-8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
Strong expertise in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform/Bicep, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation.
Proven experience with Azure monitoring, security, and automation tools, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Azure Entra ID, RBAC, and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
