Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Devops Engineer for a Contract with a client in Newark, NJ (Remote). The ideal candidate with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and OpenStack, driving cloud infrastructure automation and cloud-native application deployments.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Devops Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, SAP Converged Cloud (SCI), and OpenStack environments.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins to support continuous delivery.

• Deploy and support cloud-native applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and microservices-based architectures.

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and Elasticsearch, ensuring operational excellence.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement secure, reliable, and highly available solutions while adhering to DevOps and cloud security best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Cloud Delivery, including at least 2 years supporting cloud operations and cloud-native platforms.

• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools (ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins) for deploying and managing scalable cloud environments.

• Strong experience with OpenStack, SAP Converged Cloud (SCI), cloud automation, monitoring/logging tools, and implementing cloud security best practices in enterprise environments.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
