Job Description

Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: Senior DevOps Programmer 
Location: Downey, CA 90242 - Hybrid
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary - 12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire
Pay rate: $45-$50/hour

Description:
  • Lead and support complex application design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Plan, configure, test, implement, and manage systems supporting IT architecture and business needs.
  • Analyze requirements, design architecture, develop/debug code, integrate systems, and ensure software quality and security.
  • Support operating system environments, including system software selection, configuration, integration, performance tuning, and security.
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of application development, DevOps, operating systems, software design, systems integration, databases, and infrastructure.
  • 7+ years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
  • 4+ years of experience in a lead capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering; equivalent experience may substitute year-for-year.
Additional Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in modern application development, deployment, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong Unix/Linux/Windows administration and infrastructure knowledge, including capacity planning.
  • Experience with database management, data modeling, warehousing, and transaction processing.
  • 2+ years supporting CGI Advantage 3.11/4.x on Oracle, including IBM WebSphere/InfoSphere installation, patching, and SSL renewal.
  • Experience designing technical solutions for complex ERP systems and batch/real-time integrations.
  • 4+ years within the past 5 years with CI/CD pipelines, Python/Shell/Bash scripting, Jenkins, GitHub, and ArgoCD.
  • 3+ years within the past 5 years with Rancher, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Control-M or similar scheduling tools.
  • 1+ year within the past 3 years as a Linux/Unix systems administrator within formal change-control processes.
  • Experience with SFTP tools, file comparison utilities, Jira, Azure DevOps, Cherwell, Microsoft Office, and Splunk.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
