Allstate Sweeping Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced & dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are seeking a motivated individual who can help diagnose, repair & maintain our fleet of Street Sweeping trucks. We would love to add someone seeking a long-term position where their skills & experience are valued in our small family-owned company. Pay rate will be based upon experience & knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain street sweepers.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, air, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs on various components.
- Complete DOT and brake inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work effectively with fellow mechanics, office staff & drivers.
- Be available for occasional emergency after hours calls (2-hour minimum paid).
- Schedule is Monday through Friday with occasionally needed weekend work.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Must have own tools.
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, and organized.
- Must be honest and professional.
- Qualified to perform DOT and brake inspections.
- CDL preferred, but not required.
