Job Title: Master Diesel Mechanic (Multiple Shifts)

Pay Range: $35.00-$50.00/hour DOE
Shift:First Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday) Second Shift (2:30-11:00pm) and Third Shift (11:00pm-7:00am)
Interstate Power Systems is hiring a Master Diesel Mechanic for multiple shifts in Omaha Nebraska. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a senior heavy-duty diesel technician or diesel mechanic with strong engine diagnostic skills, advanced repair experience, and hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, powertrain systems, electrical systems, aftertreatment, and Allison Transmissions.
In this role you will diagnose and repair complex heavy-duty diesel issues, complete advanced engine and drivetrain work, and serve as a technical expert within the shop.

What You’ll Be Trusted With
- Advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and systems
- High-level engine and powertrain work involving all makes of Diesel engines and Allison transmissions
- Troubleshooting aftertreatment, electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems
- In-frame repairs, major component replacements, and root-cause failure analysis
- Interpreting OEM diagnostics, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service literature
- Serving as a technical resource for the shop when difficult issues arise
- Delivering clean, accurate documentation and professional workmanship every time
What Sets You Apart
- 5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience (master-level strongly preferred)
- Exceptional diagnostic ability with OEM software and tooling
- Deep hands-on experience with multiple Diesel engines and Allison Transmission products
- Ability to work independently and confidently on non-routine failures
- Strong electrical and aftertreatment troubleshooting capability
- High standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability
Preferred Credentials
- OEM certifications (Detroit, Allison, Cummins, MTU, Volvo, etc.)
- Formal diesel training or technical degree
- CDL or willingness to obtain
