Entity: Corporate Services Department: Corporate Web Alignment Location: 3535 Market Street Hours: Remote, M-F, 8:30AM-5PM (occasional on-site meetings usually once per month)

The Senior Digital Content Coordinator is an expert in digital marketing and content strategy who excels at creating and managing content for websites, social media, and digital advertising campaigns. In addition to overseeing content creation, this role will provide consultative web project management to ensure the digital strategy aligns with marketing goals and objectives, with a focus on engaging and informing referring providers.

Working under limited supervision, the Senior Digital Content Coordinators key areas of responsibility include:

Writing, editing, and managing content for Penn Medicines physician-focused content, digital platforms, including websites and social media channels. Developing and executing digital marketing and social media campaigns to drive physician engagement and referrals. Collaborating closely with internal teams (marketing, communications, development, design, and video teams), clinical stakeholders, and external vendors to create and implement digital content strategies. Managing multiple projects with attention to detail and tight deadlines to support institutional priorities and physician outreach.

Accountabilities

Develop digital marketing strategies by understanding the clients business objectives and evaluating client needs. Create, develop, and manage content for website (requires working with content management system). Plan and curate social media creative, blog content, email campaigns, technical documents, and digital ad copy for a wide array of audiences. Optimize web pages for search engines and according to web best practices and user experience standards. Develop paid and organic social media campaigns, including managing editorial calendars, to drive traffic to the website, increase brand reputation, and create and foster relationships with consumers. Provide project management support, involving strategic thinking and collaborative partnerships with marketing managers and clients. Lead and manage multiple large projects with overlapping timeframes. Monitor and report on web analytics, social media trends and emerging communication platforms. Identify and stay abreast of key trends using social listening and SEO tools to incorporate into digital and social media campaigns; devise creative strategies to disseminate content. Ensure digital content reflects branding standards and accomplishes business goals. Consult with and present expert advice and best practices to clients to ensure understanding of campaign analysis. Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

Minimum Requirements

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Communications (multimedia), English, Journalism, Marketing or other related discipline is required. 5+ years Experience managing content development and production for high traffic websites; creating online marketing and social media campaigns; developing strategies to drive website traffic is required. Experience and knowledge of health care organizations, universities and academic centers is preferred. Experience working with content management systems is preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

MARKETING/SALES: Familiarity with marketing analytics COMMUNICATION: Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills PROJECT/CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Ability to drive multiple projects with overlapping timeframes Experience writing and editing for the web including websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets Excellent writing and editing skills, including working knowledge of writing for SEO Experience in online strategy, including social media, mobile media, digital campaigns, and content distribution Working knowledge and understanding of information architecture, interactive design principles and web usability HEALTHCARE KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of healthcare industry landscape and audience needs Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
