Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is looking for a self‑motivated Senior Digital Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and verify digital circuit boards for complex imaging systems, including multi‑processor/FPGA boards, battery powered and low‑power electronics, and image processing components.Job SummarySenior Digital Electrical Engineer – hands‑on individual contributor; will collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams and drive technical solutions for advanced defense sensing technologies.Duties / ResponsibilitiesWork closely with product management and business development to define product requirements.Translate project and system requirements into detailed hardware designs and boards.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams from Product, Software, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering.Debug and test prototypes and deliverable hardware.Release documentation into production for manufacturing.Support product introduction into production.Solve complex problems with limited direction, contributing to requirements development and adapting to changes.Manage tasks with multiple cross‑functional members and communicate status to project leadership and customers.Skills / AbilitiesHigh‑speed digital design experience and knowledge of embedded processors and interfaces such as PCIe, DDR3/DDR4, Ethernet, 1553, SERDES, Aurora, UART, MIPI, etc.FPGA board design experience with AMD Xilinx devices (Artix/Kintex 7/Ultrascale, Zynq 7000, Zynq MPSoC).Ability to write detailed design specifications.Experience integrating and debugging systems in the lab.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time‑management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks.Thorough understanding of engineering theories and procedures.EducationBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.Experience5–10 years of board design experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Mentor Graphics PADs schematic and layout tools.Experience with Altium schematic and layout tools.Experience with AMD/Xilinx FPGA/SOC design flow tools.Additional InformationPosition requires U.S. citizenship.Salary Range$113,600.00 – $151,400.00 (estimated; actual compensation determined by factors such as location and experience).EEO StatementTeledyne is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
