ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Director- Advanced Medical EngagementLeadreports to the Advanced Medical Solutions Team Leader in the U.S. Field Medical organization. The role involves providingboth consultative and direct support and leadership to assess, develop, and implement complex, collaborativeprojectsand non-interventional studies. This strategic leader will workcross-functionally and interactacrossmultiplefield andHQfunctionsincluding but not limited to Medical Affairs,Real WorldEvidence,MedicalValue and Evidence Generation, Data Science, Digital Innovation, Biostatistics, Legal, Regulatory, Epidemiology and commercial to achieve project success. This colleague also will provide organizational support forkeyteams consideringinitiativesandmay serve on the U.S. Intake Committee or similar review committees.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities
Maintains excellent cross-functional communication and working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to advance projects/studies (e.g.,Medical,Compliance, Medical Governance, Legal, Safety, Value & Evidence, Statistics, Regulatory, Brand Commercial, RWE, etc.) through all stages of strategic operations,planning,and project execution.
Strategic partner across Pfizer stakeholders within and outside of Medical Affairs to engage healthcare organizations on complex, innovativeinitiatives, including non-interventional studies, studies with minimal risk,quality improvement projects or health care professionals/organizations (HCP/HCO) engagements from conceptinceptionthrough publication.
Assesses strategic priorities of Pfizer concept owners andleadersand provides subject matterexpertiseon ways to align and achieve their strategic imperatives.
Advisesstakeholderssuchasfieldaccountteamsonprojectdirection.
ProvidessubjectmatterexpertiseonappropriateconductandnecessarydocumentationtominimizerisktoPfizer forrelevantactivitiesandensureadherencetoPfizer policies andGoodClinicalPractice(GCP).
Providesstrategic input,support,and guidance with questions for collaborativemedical engagementsinitiatedby HQ, fieldmedical,commercial,healthcare organizationsetcincludingdirectinginitial assessment, triaging opportunitiesfor review, assessing organizational capabilities and feasibility, and providing both the clinical and business relevance to proposeddesign. Maintains strategic input through execution and closeout.
Providesdirectionin advanced data analytics including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and predictive analytics within projects and studies in close coordination withMedical,Clinical Informatics,RWEand data science colleagues.
Advises project/study teamson activities related to execution,budgetand direction,asappropriateand assigned by leadership.
Guides study operations and data management support needed for relevant activitiesLeadsthe conversation to improve efficiency and drive valueby proposing solutions and being a change agent cross-functionally.
Working with CommercialColleagues
Advisescommercial field account team colleagues and leadership on project directionand feasibility.
Works collaboratively withcommercial colleaguesto guide or develop strategies and solutionspertaining toinitiativesas appropriate.
Contributes medical insights to commercially led projectsas appropriate

Workscross functionallyacross areas of medical affairswhereappropriate ondevelopment ofviablestrategies designed toexpand the body of evidence andqualify and quantify clinical value.
Advises LT on external and internal challenges, market dynamics and needs in complex collaborations to drive organizational change.
Works collaboratively with leadership, across medical affairs and brand/asset teams toidentifyand qualify opportunities for collaboration with healthcare organizations that align with organizational strategies to maximizeimpact.
May serve on the Intake Committee or other committee(s) as needed.
Working with External Partners
Provides strategic input andidentification, qualification,developmentand executionof innovative solutions of value to Pfizer and tohealthcare organizations,partnersand vendors.
Provides input and coordination on strategic, tactical and compliance areaswith both internal and external partners from concept identification through closeout.
Resource Management
Works with stakeholders fromvarious sources includingLeadership, brand teams and other organizations to strategically manage resources.
Contributes to an engaged and effective work environment.
Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.
Works withinPfizer’s Corporate Policies (CP) and Procedures,Accounting/Finance policies,Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) guidelines.
BASICQUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstratesa breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact. The candidate willpossess strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage stress and adapt to change.
Terminal Doctorate Degree, PharmD or PhD.
Graduated from a U.S. accredited Healthcare Program, College of Pharmacy, or equivalent.
7+years of relevant experience including clinical patient care, quality improvement, medical account management, Health Economics & Outcomes Research including strong methodological skills (study design, data analysis, and interpretation).
Experience leading a matrix organization with the ability to manage without direct authority.
Demonstration of strong strategic thinking skills, asevidencedby the ability toidentifyalternative scenarios, resulting implications, and development of pragmatic recommendations for direction or action.
Strong written and verbal communication influencing skills to address leadership and external audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years pharmaceutical medical account management.
Field Medical experience strongly preferred.
Residency, clinical and/or management experience preferred.
Advanced data analytics and outcomes research experience strongly preferred.
Track recordof developing technology and data partnerships that unlock value a plus.
Ability to network and build partnerships/collaborations with external parties, often at senior levels ofhealthcareorganizations stronglypreferred.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel up to 30% which includes overnight travel; must have avalid,US Driver's License. Must meet andcomply withall Corporate Travel and Fleet requirements,policiesand procedures as applicable.
Sustained periods of sitting and computer use especially in office settings, for virtual meetings, or while traveling.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $204,700.00 to $341,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
