The Senior Director, AI Strategy will lead the strategic evaluation, prioritization, and scaled adoption of AI-enabled solutions across the enterprise. This role is accountable for managing an evolving portfolio of initiatives and ensuring it translates into measurable impact aligned to the organization's strategic priorities. The role operates with an investment mindset, supporting use case prioritization, business case development, roadmap partner selection, and execution to ensure realized and sustained ROI.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Investment Prioritization: Partner with business and functional leaders to define an AI roadmap and prioritized use case portfolio aligned to enterprise value creation. Lead rigorous opportunity assessment and business case development with a focus on measurable ROI to inform investment decisions across third-party and internally enabled solutions.

Third-Party Solution Evaluation: Lead identification, evaluation, and selection of AI vendors and startup partners. Ensure a disciplined approach to evaluating third-party AI solutions, including pilot design, KPI definition, and success/fail criteria. Work with a cross-functional team to ensure consistent approach to determine proof-of-value efforts and drive data-driven "scale vs. stop" decisions.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Management

Own partnership strategy with startups selected to scale across the enterprise. Coordinate with business and functional leaders to manage ongoing partner performance, ensuring delivery against expected outcomes, and coordination of third-party feature roadmap to business needs, where applicable.

Value Realization & Cross-Functional Coordination

Serve as the central point of accountability for delivering business outcomes across the AI portfolio. Establish clear visibility into realized vs. expected ROI. Drive collaboration across business owners, IS, data and AI engineering teams to scale high-impact solutions, aligned to enterprise risk and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or appropriately relevant field, is required. A Master's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of at least 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry with relevant knowledge of industry dynamics, healthcare operations and technology.

Other requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience evaluating investments or strategic initiatives
  • Proven track record of leading complex initiatives from planning through execution
  • Proven experience developing financial business cases and informing investment decisions
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data ecosystems, and GenAI applications, with the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, depending on need. Selected candidate will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
