Senior Director, Clinical Operations (Perioperative Services)

This position is a senior nursing director position responsible for the oversight and management of a number of patient care areas including perioperative services in in-patient and out-patient settings.. This position requires advanced progressive management /leadership experience in managing large programmatic & strategic responsibilities including interdisciplinary collaboration internally and or externally , financial, quality, patient experience responsibilities over a number of areas. Responsible for supporting, mentoring and coaching nurse managers and other nurse leaders following the core leadership competencies of AONL. Ensures shared governance and the foundation of the Magnet standards are enculturated throughout.

• Responsible for more than 2 clinical departments or programs with greater than 150 FTE''s including Nurse Managers and Assistant Nurse Managers
• Responsible for Organizational and or Nursing strategic plan development and execution
• Responsible for developing, monitoring, and adherence to annual operations and capital budgets for multiple units or - departments
• Oversight and or Management of interdisciplinary projects and initiatives to meet strategic initiatives and goals
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive nursing leadership experience at the director level
• Responsible for organizational clinical education and professional development across a number of disciplines and manages all clinical affiliations for Nursing
• Responsible for Patient experience, quality, regulatory and safety oversight over multiple departments

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE LICENSE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION):

• Registered Nurse with a Masters Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration, Doctorate preferred
• CT RN License required
• CNORA Certification highly preferred.
• ANCC acknowledged Nurse executive certification preferred
