Job Summary
The Senior Director, Enterprise Quality Execution owns and manages the formal quality improvement project portfolios throughout Ashleys domestic manufacturing teams, third-party importation quality teams, and import manufacturing teams. This executive leader coordinates review cycles, ensures continuous quality project flow, and drives effective project prioritization, category management, and rapid execution. They champion formal corrective and preventative action disciplines to deliver impactful results and strengthen Ashleys competitive advantage in quality speed and efficacy within the market.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Ownership & Management
- Own and manage the comprehensive portfolio of quality improvement projects across Ashleys domestic manufacturing, third-party importation quality, and import manufacturing teams
- Ensure a robust flow of formally opened quality projects, driving consistent categorization by complexity and value
- Establish ongoing measurement of closure speed across all internal and external teams
Project Execution & Outcome Assurance
- Oversee the successful closure of quality improvement projects, ensuring they deliver significant, customer-facing quality improvements
- Coordinate and lead regular project review meetings (cadence coordination) with U.S. factories, third-party vendor support teams, and international quality teams to ensure transparency, accountability, and progress
- Identify and elevate urgent or high-impact quality concerns, ensuring rapid response and focused scrutiny by executive leadership
Quality Discipline & Methodology
- Uphold rigorous corrective and preventative action (CAPA) methodologies throughout the lifecycle of quality projects to resolve root causes and prevent recurrence
- Drive a culture of rapid corrective and preventative action, positioning Ashley Furniture as a market leader in quality improvement speed and efficacy
- Champion formal quality disciplines across all manufacturing and importation channels
Stakeholder Communication
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with Ashleys retail partners
- Relay project progress and key quality outcomes to retail stakeholders
- Solicit and integrate feedback from retail partners into ongoing quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Masters degree (MBA, MS Engineering) preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality management, continuous improvement, or manufacturing operations
- Extensive experience managing enterprise-wide project portfolios and cross-functional teams
- Proven track record in domestic manufacturing and international supply chain/importation environments
Skills & Certifications
- Deep expertise in Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) methodologies and root cause analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks (Black Belt certification preferred)
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills
- Strong ability to influence and drive accountability across matrixed and geographically dispersed teams
- Strategic thinking combined with relentless execution discipline
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external retail partners
