    Role: Senior Director, Housing Supportive Services Program (HSSP)

    Reports to: Deputy Chief, Clinical Services

    Program: 1303-FSP

    Department: Mental Health

    Location: Westside Mental Health Office - 1749 14th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404

    Setting: Not 100% Onsite

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

    Status: Full-time/Exempt/Management

    Summary:

    The Senior Director of HSSP will oversee HSSP Programs in Project-Based Housing and supervise HSSP Program Directors in the clinical and administrative operations of HSSP Programs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Clinical Services, the Senior Director, HSSP is responsible for the following:

    • n collaboration with the Deputy Chief and Program Directors, monitor all administrative aspects of agency's Department of Mental Health (DMH) contracted HSSP and contract, including billing and contract maximization in compliance with contract goals and outcomes in a timely manner.
    • Provide supervision to HSSP Directors to ensure programs are meeting contractual obligations per DMH Funder and effective collaboration with HSH-funded (Department of Homeless Services and Housing) ICMS (Intensive Case Management) Provider.
    • Attend meetings, respond to email correspondence, develop and maintain appropriate relationships (including with the Department of Mental Health and other Intensive Case Management support organizations) on behalf of the Directors and staff.
    • Manage program roster and slot allocation in accordance with DMH-funder and maintain communication with partnering ICMS provider with slot allocation updates.
    • In partnership with Directors and Assistant Directors, update staffing needs as it relates to slot allocations.
    • Collaborate with Housing Department Leadership and external ICMS Partners as it relates to clinical, administrative, and staff oversight of project-based building and scattered site contracts.
    • Represent agency interests at Department of Mental Health meetings, as well as other DMH HSSP county-wide meetings.
    • Ensure productivity goals and outcomes are achieved, including a minimum of 65% of staff time being in direct service provision across program; including upholding DMH documentation standards and guidelines.
    • Support the coordination of clinical services and activities with outside agencies, partners, and funders; including the coordination of referral processes.
    • Support the coordination and development of new Project Based Housing sites and Scattered Sites assigned to HSSP.
    • Oversee and support the overall functioning of HSSP services at all Project Based Housing sites and Scattered Sites assigned to HSSP.
    • Collaborate with Clinical Quality Assurance and Billing Department to ensure compliance of program requirements.
    • Assist in recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of direct service staff.
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure proper staff orientation, training and audit preparedness for all clinical and mental health contracts.
    • Complete required reporting to LA County Department of Mental Health as outlined by contract requirements.
    • Support psychiatry needs such as data collection, client coordination, invoices, and reporting.
    • Assist in crisis interventions as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in the field of Social Welfare or Marriage and Family Therapy, or doctorate in psychology or related field; Licensure preferred.
    • Minimum of four (4) years experience in the field of mental health and/or substance addictions.
    • Current, valid CA Driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Strong working knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and requirements.
    • Outstanding clinical review skills
    • Strong training, project management, and team-building skills
    • Able to behave with sensitivity, tact, politeness and responsiveness with staff and clients
    • Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and computer skills
    • Knowledge of trauma informed services, housing first and harm reduction methodologies.
    • Experience providing administrative and clinical supervision
    • Contract and quality assurance experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Active and in good standing License with Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
    • Bilingual Spanish

    Work Environment:

    • Combination of field and office environment
    • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
    • On occasion walk or drive to different local sites.
    • Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
    • Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and odor.
    • May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day.
