The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Alliance Management to lead our Alliance Management function. You will set strategy for the team, own our most important client relationships post-sale, and translate technically complex and scientific concepts into clear value for pharma stakeholders as you drive renewal, expansion, and upsell across our accounts.
Your Responsibilities:
Team & Function Leadership
- Own the strategic direction of the Alliance Management function, working closely with leadership to define how the team operates and scales
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other Alliance Managers on the team
- Serve as a senior point of escalation and thought partner for complex account situations
Account Management & Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to drive expansion, upsell, cross-sell opportunities, and revenue growth within assigned accounts
- Partner closely with Business Development and delivery teams to ensure ongoing projects succeed and new opportunities are identified early
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships with scientific and business stakeholders
Internal Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Work cross-functionally with business development, product, data science, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution at assigned accounts
- Track KPIs and measure success for the function overall
- Represent PhaseV externally at conferences and industry events as needed
- Develop deep expertise in PhaseV's offerings to identify new business opportunities, and build strong command of the target market and ideal champions within biotech and pharmaceutical organizations
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or a technology vendor serving pharma clients, with a strong focus on alliance management, strategic partnerships, or account growth
- Demonstrated experience owning the relationship at named accounts including expansion, renewal, and upsell
- Comfort operating as a senior, credible voice with pharma stakeholders with strong scientific and commercial credibility
- Strong technical and analytical understanding; experience with AI/ML solutions through previous roles is a plus
- Ability to clearly communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and translate scientific insights into actionable decisions
- Engaged listener who leverages input and a variety of perspectives to develop solutions
- People management or mentorship experience a plus
Desired Skills:
- BS in a relevant field; MS, PhD, MBA, MD, or other relevant advanced degree strongly preferred, but not required if scientific/commercial credibility is otherwise well established
- Background in biopharma, consulting, or a similar role at an AI/ML vendor serving pharma clients
- Driven, self-motivated, and passionate about innovation in drug development
- Expertise in developing and delivering presentations for diverse stakeholders
