Job Purpose:

Leading the global sales and business development team, the primary focus is to drive revenue growth, deepen customer partnerships, and expand the market presence of the Casix portfolio. Working closely with operations, R&D, and other key stakeholders to effectively achieve business objectives. In addition, the Senior Director of WW Business Development/Casix is responsible for developing a market strategy that focuses the team on the right markets and accounts to grow the business over the next 5 years. This includes identifying and winning new business opportunities for Casix and developing customer relationships for long term partnerships for both Casix and Fabrinet. The Senior Director of BD will use market research to identify the marketshare gains required in the traditional markets (Telecom/Laser) as well as establish a roadmap for new markets and new customers.

Key Responsibilities:


The Director of Business Development:

  • Builds market position by identifying, locating, the key new business targets from existing and new markets.
  • Plan and implement business development initiatives based on the company’s development strategy and market surveys. Achieve sales targets with respect to revenue growth and sales efficiency (increase existing and new business)
  • Foster revenue growth by securing new design wins at new and existing customers.
  • Works closely with Business Development, Operations and R&D teams to create customer development strategies, align company capabilities to market requirements and recommend resource investments that expand the market for Casix products and services.
  • Provide valuable market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and business updates to senior management, ensuring accuracy and accountability to aggressive revenue growth goals
  • Organize various marketing activities and participate in industry conferences and exhibitions.
  • Frequent business travel to visit existing and potential clients, with special emphasis in North America
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or EVP

  • Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Optics/Physics/Electrical/Telecom or other engineering is preferred.
    • 10+ years of sales experience in related industries (telecommunications/Optics)
    • Familiar with optical industry, full understanding of optoelectronic products (such as crystal, precision optical components, optical communication devices, at least some of them) in various fields. Be able to provide a solution and ensure a positive customer experience.
    • Must be knowledgeable on how to develop new markets by creating market development plans that match the Casix capabilities to the particular needs for each end market.
    • Strong history with building relationships at all levels of OEM customers, with an ability to identify new areas of opportunity and enhance those relationships to build a long term growth in business
    • Be able to lead a diverse, global team of Business Development Managers to achieve their individual and company goals
    • Able to communicate technology trends and develop capabilities roadmaps to enter new markets and customers
    • Track Record of Achieving Revenue and New Business goals.
    • Strong Communication skills (in English).
    • Well versed in all MS/Office Applications, especially Powerpoint, Excel
    • Have a strong work ethic, team spirit and customer orientation.
