Senior Director of Business Operations

RelaDyne is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Business Operations to lead the operating model, logistics strategy, business performance visibility, and continuous improvement capabilities supporting our non-fuel distribution business.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving productivity, capacity utilization, service performance, profitability, and consistent execution across a large, multi-location distribution network.

The Senior Director will work closely with Operations, Commercial Leadership, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, and other business leaders to establish effective operating processes, performance measures, and strategic initiatives that improve how the business operates and creates value.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Leadership

• Lead the business operations strategy for RelaDyne's non-fuel distribution business.

• Establish operating cadence, governance, decision-making frameworks, and performance expectations across the network.

• Lead and develop Regional Directors of Business Operations and other teams supporting logistics, analytics, and business improvement.

• Partner with senior leaders across Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to improve cross-functional execution.

• Advise executive leadership on business trends, performance opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.

Logistics & Network Optimization

• Provide leadership for non-fuel logistics strategy and dispatch governance while partnering with Branch Operations on execution.

• Lead initiatives focused on capacity utilization, routing, delivery efficiency, asset productivity, and service performance.

• Develop and monitor logistics KPIs and operating reviews to drive accountability and informed decision-making.

• Support logistics and dispatch integration related to acquisitions when needed.

Analytics & Business Performance

• Establish and oversee KPIs, reporting standards, and business performance reviews for the non-fuel business.

• Provide leadership for analytics and business intelligence capabilities.

• Partner with Finance, Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, and IT to develop tools and reporting that support strategic and operational decisions.

• Use data and financial insights to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Strategic Initiatives & Process Improvement

• Identify and lead cross-functional initiatives that improve profitability, productivity, operating expense, asset utilization, customer experience, and distribution economics.

• Lead network optimization, route optimization, cost-to-serve, and service model improvement initiatives.

• Standardize and improve cross-functional business processes and workflows.

• Translate strategic priorities into executable plans with clear accountability and measurable outcomes.

Technology & Scalability

• Partner with IT, Data Services, and business leaders to identify technology, automation, and system enhancements that improve operational performance.

• Help ensure business processes, data, and technology support scalability and long-term growth.

• Lead adoption of new processes, systems, and business practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in business operations, distribution, logistics, supply chain, operational excellence, or a related field.

• Experience leading complex, multi-location operations.

• Proven success developing operating models, governance frameworks, analytics capabilities, and performance management systems.

• Strong understanding of distribution, logistics, transportation, dispatch, and/or network optimization.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that improve productivity, profitability, capacity utilization, and customer experience.

• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to connect operational performance to financial outcomes.

• Experience with ERP, business intelligence, analytics, and other technology-enabled business platforms.

• Strong executive communication, presentation, problem-solving, and influencing skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and drive adoption of new processes and technologies.

• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
