Job Description

Director Of Engineering

The Director of Engineering will:

  • Lead and develop Manufacturing and Production Engineering teams
  • Set and execute engineering strategy aligned with business goals
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Establish and track KPIs to improve performance and efficiency
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic decisions
  • Oversee new product development and product launches
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align engineering with business needs
  • Ensure structured program execution and production readiness
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles
  • Support quoting with accurate cost and resource estimates
  • Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and automation
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Enhance product quality and operational performance

The successful applicant should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of engineering leadership experience in manufacturing
  • Experience leading new product introductions
  • Background in process development, tooling, and production systems
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Experience with ERP and manufacturing planning systems
  • Proven record of driving operational improvements
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering principles
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
