Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director Of Nursing for Extended Care Unit tto oversee nursing operations and lead clinical teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction for nursing staff and clinical programs, ensuring excellence in patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.
Maintain responsibility for planning, organizing, and overseeing nursing operations and activities.
Promote a positive and collaborative work environment fostering professional growth and high morale.
Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and standards that comply with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
Mentor, supervise, and evaluate clinical staff, ensuring ongoing performance development.
Manage clinical resources and budgets, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and efficient operations.
Respond effectively to stressful situations, crises, or emergencies, taking appropriate and timely action.
Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to further organizational goals.
Key Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina or a Compact State (required).
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required at time of hire.
Minimum of 2-3 years of professional nursing experience; at least 1 year must be in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a stressful environment and make appropriate decisions under pressure.
