Senior Director, Physician Services

A 199-bed acute care teaching hospital in Las Cruces, NM — a regional referral center serving a ~300,000-person area roughly 40 minutes from El Paso — is seeking a Senior Director, Physician Services to lead physician practice operations across its employed-provider network.

The role. Reporting to the hospital's Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director provides leadership, direction, and full administrative and financial oversight for all aspects of physician practice management. You'll supervise and develop the Market Directors and Market Managers who run day-to-day operations for the group's employed physicians, translate hospital and provider-group strategy into practice-level execution, support employed-practice acquisitions and new-practice start-ups, and lead professional-development programs for practice-management staff. The role owns the annual operational and capital budgets with monthly variance reporting, and serves as the primary operational liaison between hospital management, the provider group, and individual practices.

What we're looking for.

• Graduation from a program in Health Care Management or Business Administration (required)
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing physician practices
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
• Strong critical-thinking and decisive-judgment skills; able to work independently in a demanding environment
• Must reside in the Las Cruces area or be willing to relocate within 45 days (under 30 days preferred)
• No visa sponsorship available

Schedule. Full-time and on-site at the Las Cruces location, with regular travel across the service area.

Compensation. $130,000 - $170,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, tuition and loan assistance, paid time off, and paid family leave.
