Our Team, Your Impact
This position is responsible for managing all packaging activities so that the site meets customer needs and objectives (quality, cost, service and safety). Translate site's plan to detailed packaging schedule. Manage crisis when occurs. Ensure workflow optimization and implement processes for efficient and effective packaging line. Understand changes in business needs and align packaging objectives accordingly. Ensure acceptable quality of all packaged products and maintain environmental regulations and standards. Make sure equipment is available, qualified and ready. Manage material flow.
How You'll Spend Your Day

- Responsible for designing, evaluating and implementation of best class manufacturing and associated processes for pharmaceuticals products.
- Strategic partner with several departments; Supply Chain, Project Management, Quality Control and Commercial to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing supply chain opportunities to realize improvement in service and cost.
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ensures the safety throughout operations and identify preventative plans to prevent accidents.
- Ensuring that all equipment is in working order and is able to initiate recommendations on purchasing of new equipment and improvements.
- Lead a culture of operational excellence. Provide recommendations for new equipment and processes that lead to an efficient and effective production environment. Continuously look for new, innovative ways to increase productivity and efficiency and decrease cost. Develop and maintain systems for all elements of OPEX. Develop processes to meet changing business needs that are sustaining and adaptable.
- Accountable for packaging cost drivers, compliance and ongoing cost improvement for all products.
- Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments.
- Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Batch Record instructions.
- Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned.
Your Skills and Experience
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's in Business, Pharmacy, Engineering or Life Sciences or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years relevant progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. A major or focus on manufacturing engineering is preferred.
- Requires a minimum of 15 years' experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience supervising large teams and leading Project Management Teams.
- Proven leadership in developing new efficient and effective business processes and implementation.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Ability to work and lead in a dynamic group that takes a multi-disciplined team approach to executing and achieving department and site goals.
- Demonstrated experience in the launch of new products in a commercial setting.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and be reliable and responsive.
- Requires expert understanding of packaging, technology transfer, cGMPs, FDA, EU, ICH guidelines as well as CMC content of regulatory submissions.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated success in participating in pre-approval inspections by FDA and other regulatory agencies.
- Deep knowledge of chemical/pharmaceutical production operations/ lifecycle, production scheduling, production equipment/ validation and relevant technologies and product types
- Basic knowledge of chemical/pharmaceutical cross functional operations (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering), product and tech transfer
Problem Solving:
- Strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Must have hands on experience in managing diverse project activities with a pharmaceutical drug product manufacturing facilities at different geographical locations.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Less than 10% to different Florida locations.
Less than 15% of domestic travel throughout the US.
