Minimum qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of experience in software engineering.

8 years of experience in a technical leadership and people management role including experience managing managers and leading multi-leveled engineering teams.

Experience in designing building and securing large-scale distributed systems and platform-level services.

Preferred qualifications

Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science Security or a related technical field.

Experience architecting and delivering platforms designed to meet major regulatory and compliance frameworks e.g. ISO SOC PCI FedRAMP.

Experience building and leading high-performing engineering organizations at a hyperscale cloud provider.

Experience applying AIML to solve complex security risk or compliance problems.

Expertise in risk and compliance engineering risk management or security platform architecture.

Ability to translate deep technical complexity into business outcomes and influence executives and senior technical leaders across a large matrixed organization.

As Senior Director you will build and lead a critical engineering organization within the Cloud CISO team. You will be responsible for the outlook strategy and execution of platforms that automate and revolutionize how Google Cloud manages security risk and compliance.

In this role you will combine deep technical expertise with a passion for building and mentoring high-performing multi-leveled engineering teams. Your mission is to lead the charge in engineering away systemic risks and building a data-driven automated future for compliance and security assertions across the entire Google Cloud technical stack including our AI products and infrastructure.
