What You’ll Tackle

• Guide a drafting team producing detailed drawings, assemblies, and specs for commercial projects.
• Partner with engineers and project managers to translate requirements into build-ready designs.
• Review/approve shop drawings, offering clear, constructive feedback.
• Own and evolve CAD standards, templates, and best practices.
• Contribute ideas in design reviews that improve manufacturability and product performance.
• Train and onboard new team members in CAD tools and drafting techniques.
• Balance multiple deadlines while defending quality.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or similar—OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in technical drafting/CAD design focused on millwork and metal.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Microvellum; familiarity with SolidWorks or comparable tools.
• Deep understanding of engineering principles, materials, fabrication, and manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
• Detail-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple priorities.
• Working knowledge of commercial construction.

• Location: Ball Ground, GA (on-site collaboration with engineering and PM teams)
