POSITION: Senior Direct Support Professional
STATUS: Full-Time; 40 hours / week
SCHEDULE / HOURS: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
LOCATION: Robinson Township


Citizen Care Inc., a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a non-profit organization, accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership. Citizen Care has locations throughout the West Hills and South Hills of Allegheny County.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Direct Support Professional -DSP will be responsible to the Community Living Manager for assisting with the overall operation of assigned Community Living Homes including:

  • The coordination of services and supports
  • Coordination of Staff Assignments
  • Focus on the CQL’s Quality Measures
  • Compliance with CCI Policies and Procedures
  • Compliance with 6400 Regulations
  • Educate people about their rights, and encourage people to exercise their rights
  • Assuring that staff are assisting people to:
    • Achieve/realize Personal Goals
    • Meet basic Personal Care needs
    • Meet Health and Dietary needs
    • Experience Home Life
    • Experience Community Life
    • Have Safety and Security
    • Assist in maintaining accurate paperwork and record keeping
    • Work together with other staff to promote a safe, healthy and productive environment

Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Valid PA, Ohio or West Virginia driver’s license
  3. Minimum of one (1) year experience providing services and supports to people with                                           intellectual disabilities
  4. Sincerely interested in improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities
  5. Experience in residential setting preferred
  6. Ability to lift and transfer without restriction
  7. Excellent references, both personal and professional
  8. Act 34 and FBI clearances if applicable
Minimum Compensation: USD $18.00/Hr. Maximum Compensation: USD $18.00/Hr.

Partners For Quality provides administrative management to five subsidiary organizations that support local individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. PFQ’s management services include Fiscal (including payroll), HR, IT and Communications – thus allowing subsidiaries to focus on their day-to-day priorities. Citizen Care Inc. provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a non-profit organization, accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership. Citizen Care has locations throughout the West Hills and South Hills of Allegheny County.

Exceptional Adventures has more than 40 years of experience providing vacation opportunities, social events and monthly dances for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our recreational and travel programs are designed to support guests in a wide variety of activities. Organized trips include motor coach, flight, train and cruise packages which are offered year-round.

Milestone Centers supports individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. Our Agency oversees 20 residential settings, two outpatient offices, three adult training facilities, a prevocational enterprise program, a consumer drop-in center, habilitation services, and two Health Care Quality Units in Butler and Warren, which train professionals in 18 counties. Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.

The Partners For Quality Foundation conducts fundraising for all organizational services and supports.  Partners For Quality Inc. receives operating funds through various sources, private gifts, grants and special events helping the agency go “above and beyond” basic needs. The Foundation’s goal is to build and strengthen PFQ’s support resources to supplement government dollars.
