Project Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior E-Invoicing Functional Analyst to support the development and enhancement of e-invoicing compliance capabilities across multiple international markets.

This role will focus on translating complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, structured functional specifications that can be implemented within a SaaS platform. Working closely with compliance, product, technical, and implementation teams, you will play a key role in defining how country-specific e-invoicing processes are delivered within the solution.

This position is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between regulatory compliance, business analysis, and product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret country-specific e-invoicing regulations and compliance requirements from a functional and business perspective.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into detailed business processes, functional specifications, and platform requirements.
• Define transaction lifecycles, document statuses, validations, mandatory data fields, outputs, and compliance workflows.
• Analyse and document synchronous and asynchronous e-invoicing models across multiple jurisdictions.
• Map end-to-end invoicing processes, including document creation, submission, validation, approval, rejection, correction, and production deployment.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure compliance requirements are accurately reflected within the platform.
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, functional specifications, and test scenarios.
• Work closely with legal, product, development, QA, and customer-facing teams throughout implementation and testing phases.
• Identify gaps between regulatory requirements and existing platform capabilities.
• Support customer testing activities and production go-live initiatives from a functional perspective.

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or similar role within e-invoicing, tax compliance, digital reporting, or electronic invoicing environments.
• Strong understanding of country-specific e-invoicing regulations and compliance processes.
• Experience translating legal or regulatory requirements into functional specifications and product requirements.
• Solid knowledge of transaction lifecycles, document statuses, validations, mandatory fields, and integration outputs.
• Ability to work effectively with both compliance/legal stakeholders and technical/product teams.
• Strong documentation skills, including functional specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
• Experience delivering multi-country compliance or implementation projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge, clarify, and structure complex requirements.
