Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a Senior Electrical/Controls Engineer.



Responsibilities include:

Leading the design of electrical and controls engineering projects
Preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction
Providing construction administration and site visits
Mentoring staff
Coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliers



Some travel will be required.



The successful candidate must have all of the following:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical or architectural engineering (with an electrical emphasis) from an accredited college or university
At least twelve (12) years of relevant electrical and controls engineering experience
PE license in any state



The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

Designing electrical and control systems for public or industrial water/wastewater facilities (water/wastewater collection, pumping/treatment and discharge)
Designing water/wastewater collection/treatment control equipment and systems
Designing electrical systems using power analysis software (EasyPower and/or SKM Power Tools) and lighting calculation software (Visual Lighting, AGI32, or ElumTools)
Designing instrumentation and control equipment and programmable logic controller (PLC) systems and equipment
Codes, statutes, standards and laws related to building design and construction
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Mentoring engineers and designers
Familiarity with bidding and construction phase and commissioning services
Experience with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or Design-Build project delivery methods
Have an active Professional Engineer (PE) license or have the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire
