Job Overview Senior Electrical Design Engineer responsible for circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and electronic subsystem hardware on Shipboard Effectors products. This onsite role requires regular hands‑on support in a production facility, with occasional supplier travel.Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to the CCA and component levels.Resolve production line and testing issues, including those involving suppliers.Perform failure analysis, root‑cause determination and implement corrective actions.Conduct analog and digital circuit analysis, characterize and model electrical signals in simulation.Identify and instantiate design updates for circuit cards and subassemblies.Provide on‑site support and occasionally travel to suppliers.Qualifications Minimum 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in STEM; alternatively 3 years of experience with an advanced degree in a related field.Electronics coursework, laboratory experience, or project experience in electronics design.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.Knowledge of analog, digital, or mixed‑signal design.RF and electromagnetics coursework or laboratory experience.Proficiency in high‑level programming languages (e.g., BASIC, C/C++).Experience with electrical design software such as Mentor Graphics, DxDesigner, PSPICE, or ADS.Experience with test equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, network analyzers, etc.Willingness to lead small teams and work in a fast‑paced environment.Effective written and spoken communication skills.Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD per year, plus eligible benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and potential incentive compensation.EEO Statement RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
