    Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will design, develop, and improve digital hardware used in embedded control platforms. This role combines hands-on circuit and PCB design with cross-functional collaboration, verification, and product development support to deliver reliable, production-ready hardware.

    Key Responsibilities

    Circuit & PCB Design
    • Develop and update schematics and printed circuit boards for embedded control systems
    • Select components and drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT)
    • Lead design reviews and ensure quality of engineering outputs

    Digital Interfaces & Embedded Systems
    • Design microcontroller interfaces, signal conditioning, and serial communications (SPI, I²C, UART)
    • Collaborate with firmware teams on system integration and board bring-up

    Verification, Test & Compliance
    • Execute validation testing, functional verification, and pre-compliance (EMC/environmental)
    • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues to meet regulatory and safety standards

    Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Support
    • Partner with manufacturing to resolve build issues and support production release
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering change initiatives

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience with a focus on digital hardware design

    Technical Skills
    • Digital logic, embedded systems, and microcontrollers
    • Serial communications (SPI, I²C, UART) and industrial interfaces (Ethernet, RS-232/485)
    • Schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium preferred)
    • Familiarity with simulation tools (LTspice, Simulink, Plexim) preferred
    • FPGA/CPLD and HDL (VHDL/Verilog) experience is a plus
    • Knowledge of IPC, UL/CSA, and compliance standards preferred

    Why This Opportunity

    • Strong, people-first culture with excellent employee retention
    • Highly collaborative environment with direct access to leadership
