Description
Senior Electrical Engineer As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems across diverse, large-scale projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to drive innovative, high-performance solutions. You will serve as a technical leader, ensuring alignment between project objectives, design excellence, and Performance-Based Design principles. Through mentorship, technical expertise, and client engagement, you will shape project success while contributing to the growth of both people and practice
This is a Direct Hire Hybrid position with a compensation range of $130,000 – 140,000 based on years of experience. Excellent benefits and sign on and annual bonus programs. Located in Charlotte, NC Deliver Results
Lead the development of complex electrical engineering designs and specifications aligned with project goals and performance standards.
Oversee project delivery from concept through construction, including RFIs, submittals, and construction administration activities.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and conflict-free solutions.
Collaborate with Project Managers to define scope, schedule, budget, and resource plans for large-scale projects.
Engage clients to understand needs, translate objectives into design strategies, and build long-term partnerships.
Conduct feasibility studies, performance analyses, and risk assessments to inform project decisions.
Ensure all documentation meets QA/QC standards, regulatory requirements, and Progressive's Performance Based Design principles.
Lead code reviews and coordinate with governing agencies to ensure compliance.
Mentor and guide engineering staff, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
Lead or support field inspections to verify construction aligns with design intent.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
15+ years of experience leading complex electrical engineering projects.
Proven expertise in designing and delivering large-scale electrical systems, including power distribution and mission-critical infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and construction documentation with experience leading QA/QC efforts.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage project scope/budget/schedule, and build strong client relationships.
Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD products; comfortable leveraging technology to improve design quality and efficiency.
Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team development
