Senior Electrical Engineer Data Centers & Mission Critical Facilities

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity | Remote (U.S.) | Preference for Candidates in Denver, CO

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Advanced Manufacturing team supporting the design and development of cutting-edge data center and mission-critical facilities across the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects involving complex power distribution systems, electrical infrastructure, and next-generation technology environments.

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative electrical solutions for large-scale data center facilities and advanced manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate is a technically strong electrical engineer with experience leading projects, mentoring teams, and contributing to fast-paced, highly collaborative project environments.

This is a remote, contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering and design for medium- and low-voltage electrical systems in mission-critical facilities
  • Design electrical infrastructure including:
    • Power distribution systems
    • UPS systems
    • Emergency power systems
    • Grounding systems
    • Lighting systems
    • Low-voltage communication systems
  • Develop construction documents and technical design packages
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, and process engineering teams
  • Conduct quality reviews of electrical design packages
  • Support construction activities, including coordination with contractors and clients during installation and commissioning
  • Assist in managing project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality
  • Lead and mentor junior electrical engineers and designers
  • Support retrofit and expansion projects for existing mission-critical facilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of experience designing:
    • Medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems
    • Building electrical systems
    • Campus-style power distribution systems
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong experience with industrial facility and mission-critical facility design
  • Working knowledge of Revit and/or BIM software
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
  • Experience leading or mentoring electrical engineering teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer and technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative engineering environments
  • Experience supporting Data Center and/or AI Factory projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of direct data center facility design experience
  • Experience designing large greenfield projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for advanced manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, and construction technologies.
