Typical work will be as an individual or a team working on manufacturing capital improvement projects of varying size directly for Food and Beverage clients. Some travel will be required.ResponsibilitiesServe as a lead engineer on more complex projectsProvide technical mentorship to less experienced staffProvide feedback and update design standards for calculations, sizing and best practicesPrepare and perform QA/QC of plans and specifications for bidding and constructionSupport the development of probable cost estimates for projectsDesign of low and medium voltage power systems (including Motor Control Centers, Back‑Up Generators and UPS systems)Design of lighting and associated control systems for manufacturing, industrial and general commercial spacesDesign of fire alarm and mass notification systemsLayout of low‑voltage structured cabling raceways and devicesPerform periodic construction site visitsSome travel is requiredThe Successful Candidate Will HaveBachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering from an accredited college or universityAt least 8 years of relevant experiencePE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other statesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all Of The FollowingExperience with 3D building modeling (Revit preferred)Experience with lighting design software (AGI32 preferred)Experiences with Power design software (SKM Power Tools and/or EasyPower preferred)Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programsAbility to prepare construction documentsExperience coordinating engineering documentationKnowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and constructionBenefitsMead & Hunt proudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.Salary Range: $135K–$170K – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as experience, skill set or location.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self‑motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, we can help you grow your career working with industry experts on exciting projects.
