Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client, a national engineering and architecture firm, is hiring an experienced electrical engineer to guide complex commercial building projects from design through construction. This position offers technical leadership, collaboration across engineering disciplines, and opportunities to develop junior engineers. Full relocation assistance to Houston is available.

An active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, calculations, and specifications for quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes.

• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering teams.

• Provide construction support through site visits, submittal reviews, and resolution of engineering questions.

• Direct electrical system design and technical decisions for large or complex commercial projects.

• Mentor junior engineers and work with clients and project teams to manage schedules, budgets, and resources.

Requirements

• Active PE license in Electrical Engineering.

• Approximately 10–15 years of engineering design and project management experience involving commercial MEP and fire protection systems.

• An engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited university.

• Demonstrated success leading complex projects and coordinating work across multiple disciplines.

• Strong skills in electrical calculations, construction documentation, technical specifications, and quality control.
