Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development, execution, and documentation of testing electrical and mechanical subsystems for our gaming products.Responsibilities Lead development, execution, and documentation of testing electrical and mechanical subsystems.Translate technical findings into actionable guidance for design engineers, write clear test plans, and produce forensic diagnostic reports supporting design validation and sustaining engineering.Understand and troubleshoot complex electro‑mechanical systems, identify failure points, perform forensic debugging and root cause analysis, and design test methods for reliability.Support Design Validation activities: develop validation strategies to verify product performance against design specifications and regulatory requirements.Perform sustaining engineering functions: investigate field failures, support corrective actions, and provide design support for ongoing product improvements.Manage component lifecycle: research, evaluate, and validate alternative parts to replace EOL components, supporting integration with minimal disruption.Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, electrical load mainframes, environmental chambers, dataloggers, logic and protocol analyzers, and small hand and power tools.Read and comprehend technical documents (schematics, firmware documentation, manuals, mechanical drawings) relevant to embedded and electro‑mechanical systems.Collaborate with suppliers and regulatory agencies to develop and structure hardware test kits.Implement continuous improvement: incorporate field service team feedback to develop new test procedures.Participate in design reviews and communicate test findings to design engineers.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a closely related engineering field.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience supporting Design Validation activities and sustaining engineering.Proven capability in field failure investigations, corrective action support, and design support.Strong knowledge of test equipment and small tools.Familiarity with reading technical documents.Prior experience in hardware testing and the casino gaming industry is a plus.Skills Write and maintain test plan procedures and standards for the hardware test team.Design and implement comprehensive test plans for electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems.Develop and structure hardware test kits for suppliers and regulatory agencies.Continuous improvement of test procedures based on field service feedback.Participate in design reviews and communicate test findings.Work Conditions Light & Wonder and its affiliates are engaged in highly regulated gaming businesses.
