Senior Electrical Engineer

Job DescriptionOur client is a very well established manufacturer of products for the electric power line industry, and they have an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer.The Design Engineer's responsibility is to manage the design and development of new products for the electric utility market as well as manage engineering activities related to maintaining existing products.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new product part and assembly designs, drawings and specificationsEvaluate and recommend specifications and ensure products meet the technical and functional requirementsReview and analysis of proposed product changesPerform feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designsManage prototype development and testing.Facilitate creation and approval of Engineering drawing changesRecommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective proceduresWrite test reports for both internal use and for publicationWork independently on moderately complex products/product lines.Collaborate with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelinesTechnical support for Field Sales personnelRequirementsBSEE or equivalent5-10 years of engineering experienceFamiliarity with 3D modeling softwareGood communication skillsPreferredElectric utility product line experienceManufacturing environment experienceProficient with 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks or ProE)Understanding of manufacturing processes#J-18808-Ljbffr
