Position The Hardware group at EikonTherapeutics develops super-resolution, high-throughput optical instrumentation. The Hardware team is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to participate in future instrument development.

As part of Eikon's diverse team of biologists, medicinal chemists, hardware, and software engineers, you will design and deploy custom super-resolution microscopes and automated systems that will enable the exploration and quantification of Eikon's high-content datasets.

What you'll do Join an engineering team designing super-resolution microscopes, including signal processing, motion control, robotics and system automation that enables Eikon's scientific achievements.

Contribute to system design architecture of instrument control and data acquisition systems Design, prototype, and test electronic assemblies. Work closely with the microscopy and automation teams on design validation, implementation, and design improvements. Write FPGA and microcontroller firmware to implement required functionality. Write PC host code to test and characterize your design. Build and release assemblies to be used by scientists and end-users, creating a full suite of documentation and test procedures.

Qualifications Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience designing complex digital and analog circuitry.

Systems design experience contributing to design architecture Ability and desire to bring your design through all stages including directing PCBA layout, working with contract manufacturers, testing, debugging and rework of high density PCBAs with fine pitch components. Strong experience debugging systems using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Hands-on experience building test set-ups, reworking and modifying assemblies during development and testing. Experience in high-speed circuitry design such as DDR memory interfaces. Proficiency with CAD systems for schematic capture and experience in directing and reviewing PCB layout for signal integrity and EMI.

FPGA design and debug experience Experience in debugging and design validation of microcontrollers or SoC-based systems. Experience creating and implementing software and hardware testbenches. Demonstrated proficiency in analog circuit design, analysis, and simulation / modeling.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, presenting design ideas and receiving input from internal customers and product marketing.

Intel/Altera Quartusexperience and SystemVerilog proficiency is preferred.

The expected salary range for this role is $139,000 to $152,000 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
