Building on our past. Manage a team of electrical engineers and designers and oversee their work on oil/gas/chemical projects.

Plans organize, and direct engineering work, ensuring on-time completion, safety-in-design and quality outcomes from conception to completion.

Collaborate with project management, client, other disciplines to meet project objectives.

May lead one or more projects while providing guidance for other lead engineers within the program.

Maintain relationship with project management and client to ensure satisfaction with the quality and progress of the project.

Candidate shall have the ability to communicate effectively (written, emails, verbal) with the team and with management, and shall possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills; shall have the ability to motivate, create a positive work environment, helping the team to learn, grow and work together to achieve common goals.

Initiate, manage and if required supervise electrical engineering project requirements.

Perform electrical engineering services such as: participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.

Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.

Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.

Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress and keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.

If required, assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team.

Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.

Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Perform/review power systems studies and protective device settings.

Development, design of electrical distribution systems, equipment selection, protective relay selection, power management system configuration.

Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.

Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.

Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and electrical engineering specific software, ETAP, PSCAD, SPL.

Development, design of electrical distribution systems, equipment selection, protective relay selection, power management system configuration, interface management.

Experience in software such as MS Office Suite and electrical engineering specific software, ETAP, PSCAD, SPL.

Required: A recognized and relevant BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.

Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.

Professional Engineer (P. E or P. Eng) status US/Canada.
