The role will allow an experienced Engineer to assist/lead the technical aspect of projects while acting as a liaison between the internal and external teams.Responsibilities -Leads multidisciplinary technical efforts on projects with a focus on electrical systems, coordinating with other engineering areas as needed.Designs electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, arc flash studies, switch gears, and circuiting.Supports the professional development of junior technical staff within the team.Oversees and provides guidance to team members on assigned tasks and deliverables.Ensures technical integration and coordination across all engineering disciplines involved in a project.Prepares, reviews, and approves electrical system documentation, including schematics and technical narratives.Contributes to quality assurance by monitoring output for compliance with internal and external standards.Executes and reviews analytical studies and technical reports.Performs detailed reviews of plans, drawings, and project materials to ensure completeness and accuracy.Resolves technical challenges and collaborates with design staff to address issues that arise during project development.Qualifications -Minimum 7+ years of experienceStrong skillset in both AutoCAD and Revit.Exceptional knowledge of Electrical System Engineering for large public facilities.Exceptional Knowledge of the national and state electrical codes, NFPA Life Safety code and applicable Building Codes.Knowledge of Mechanical, Fire Protection and special systems engineering.EIT and PE preferred, senior experience without licenses will be considered as wellSeniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type Full-timeJob function Industries Engineering Services, Construction, and Design ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Owen Thomas Group by 2xInferred from the description for this job Medical insuranceVision insurance401(k)Pension planPaid maternity leavePaid paternity leaveStudent loan assistanceGet notified when a new job is posted.Sign in to set job alerts for “Electrical Engineer” roles.
