Senior Electrical Engineer, PE

Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida (Hybrid)

Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established, nationally recognized engineering organization to identify a Senior Electrical Engineer, PE. This individual will serve as a technical leader, driving electrical design initiatives while mentoring engineering teams and managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a licensed PE who enjoys balancing technical excellence with leadership, client interaction, and project ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design efforts from concept through construction documentation

  • Provide technical oversight, QA/QC review, and guidance to engineering staff

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects

  • Coordinate closely with internal disciplines and external partners

  • Conduct system evaluations, feasibility studies, and cost analyses

  • Prepare technical documentation including reports, specifications, and equipment selections

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting team growth and performance

  • Support business development efforts including proposals and client engagement

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the A/E (Architecture & Engineering) industry

  • Strong background in electrical systems design

  • Proven leadership experience managing projects and teams

  • Ability to mentor, delegate, and develop engineering staff

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and design software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design/calculation tools

  • Project exposure across healthcare, education, commercial, government, or similar sectors

  • Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient design practices

  • LEED accreditation or additional certifications is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $140,000 - $180,000
